Mullingar 10 2018
RACE REPORT
This morning on arrival it looked like it was going to be our 1st miserable day in quite some time weather-wise but how the tables turned, what started off windy and raining ended up being perfect for racing.
With just under 350 registered for this very popular 10 miler it was always going to be a good race with Raheny Shamrock AC's Freddy Stukk back to defend his title for the men in 54:49 and Jane-Ann Meehan from Athenry winning for the ladys in 1:01:09. The race attracted some fine runners from both local clubs and further a field. Westmeath, Longford, Galway, Dublin, Kildare, Mayo, Louth and Meath all had club representation on show.
The event was extremely well organised by the long established Mullingar Harriers club. Well done to all who participated. The next MyRunResults race in Westmeath is the Castlepoolard 5k hosted by Northwestmeath AC, which is a proven flat fast course.
