Lough Sheelin is a renowned fishing lake overlapping parts of Meath, Westmeath & Cavan. It is seven miles long and four miles across. This year sees the introduction of a 10k. The race takes place on Saturday the 16th of April. Both races start at Crover House Hotel at 10am.The 10k will Finish in Finea with all participants brought back to Crover House Hotel by bus. The 16mile race will finish back at Crover House Hotel
The Challenge is to run (or walk) around the lake taking in some of the finest scenery in the Lakelands and Northeast. The event is being hosted by St Brigid's Athletic club based in Ballinacree who provide sporting facilities to the young and old from all three counties.
