RACE REPORT
It was an extremely hot evening in Dublin's City centre this eve for the Docklands 5k. The temperature guage was hot and so was the competition. This is known as a flat fast course. The race attracts many corporate employees that work in the IFSC and newly developed docklands area. Despite the very warm conditions over 1,300 runners took to the challenge. The atmosphere at at the start and finish areas were electric with a real sense of excitement and anticipation. Prizes were awarded to both Corporate teams, individual scoring and age categories. There was also an athletics club and elite team scoring with no awards handed out for these. This was all about club bragging rights.
The top 6 individuals were awarded prizes along with top 2 in each age
category over 35, 45, 55, 60 and 65 For Corporate teams prizes were awarded Male, Female and Mixed teams with 3 to score.
