RACE REPORT

The 2nd Annual Summit 5mile in Howth took place this morning. The weather conditions were ideal for runners. The views of the Howth coast were spectacular along the route. It was an early morning start at 9am. More than 180 runners took the Challenge. This was a fabulous trail run along the cliff tops of Howth Head. The course had many up and down hills giving excellent hill training for runners. This was a very well organised event by Dublin Bay Running Club. Runners had a great experience from start to finish. The Registration and Finish area was located at the Summit Inn pub. This event is a hidden gem that will no doubt become extremely popular over the years. The winner of the race was Ronan Wogan of Bohermeen AC with Damien Martin (Raheny Shamrock AC) 2nd and Ger Copeland (DBRC) 3rd. The Female winner was in the in form Zoe Quinn of DBRC.

NEW EVENTS FOR THE SUMMER FROM AWARD WINNING BORN 2 RUN EVENTS

This is 4 race series which will run for the next 4 Thursdays in June
Entry fee is €25 and for this runners will get a beautiful medal as well as post race refreshments. Each of the races in the series has a bespoke medal with a design specific to that particular race route. Runners can take part in as few or as many of the races as they wish but runners entering all 4 races in the series will get a discounted entry fee (€20/race) as well as a BORN2RUN Buff.
