In our virtual Festive 5k!

As we approach the Christmas season, Drogheda and District AC are delighted to launch our virtual Drogheda Festive 5k which is open for everyone to enter immediately. Unfortunately, as with so many other races this year, our Drogheda Race Series had to get cancelled due to COVID. These races form a key part of the club's annual fundraising, so your entry to our virtual race will be a massive support for the club.

Drogheda & District Ac purchased a grass field at Newtownstalaban in 2015 and have worked tirelessly ever since to develop a first class athletic facility.  Now equipped with an 800m all-weather running track, grass training loops, 10m wide long jump, 100 space car park, and fully flood-lit only six years later it's clear to see that progress is important to us at DDAC.  Covid19 has meant the suspension of the Drogheda Race Series for 2020, our biggest fundraising event on the calendar, but are pushing for one last drive to raise funds in 2020.

Simply sign up for €10 run/ walk your distance any time from 1st December right up until Sunday 20th December, and then register your time on MyRunResults and that’s it! #simple 

With a variety of distances on offer get the whole family involved - 5k / 3k / 2k and 800m.

In addition to the €10 entry, there is also the option to purchase a fabulous festive Hi-Viz technical race t-shirt for €12.95 (inc postage) / €10.95 kids. We'll be tracking a number of unofficial competitions such as Teams and Age category, so make sure to put in max effort to get all bragging rights when the final results are posted. 

T-shirts will  be posted out in batches as ordered with first batch from Dec 20th and remaining over Christmas / early January.
