RACE REPORT

 

 

The Cara Bundoran 5k kicked off the Cara Challenge weekend in style tonight. The records keep breaking with yet another record number of runners signing up. Over 640 runners took to the streets of Bundoran on what promises to be a great weekend. Over 3,000 are expected to take part for all 4 events over the weekend. Tonight's race was very much a family fun event with many local schools taking part. This is event has captured the hearts of the local community over that last number of years. 

 

However, there was some serious running too on the night. Martin Cox of Carmen runners was the overall winner and Niamh Carolan of North Leitrim AC was the ladies winner.  Age categories were also awarded on the night.

 

 

With the success of the 5k many will be looking forward to tomorrow.
