Wild Goose Chase 2018

RACE REPORT

The 7th annual Wild Goose Chase took place in Westerns GFC, Reaghstown, Ardee, Co Louth. Over 450 runners took to the local roads to help raise funds for the Ardee Hospice Homecare and the Wetsterns GFC developmnet fund. Evidence of the Westerns development could be easily seen with a newly built club house providing superb facilities for the participants. The event was extremely well supported by club members and locals from Ardee.

The course for both the 5k and 10k consisted of some testing hills that did not deter the spirits of the participants.

The 5k was won by Cillian Dyas of Drogheda & District AC. The female winner was Hazel Hughes. The 10k was won by Raymond Smith of Carrick Aaces and the female winner was Patricia Mullholland.
