Simon Cumbers & Paddy Hyland 6k RR Navan

RACE REPORT

The Simon Cumbers & Paddy Hyland 6k hosted by Navan AC was a sell out event 3 weeks before the big day. Just over 1,100 partipiants arrived to Claremount Stadium on a sunny May evening. From early on preparations were in place for this brilliantly organised event. The night started with kids races at 7pm followed by the main race at 8pm. There was a fabulous atmosphere with Race HQ and finish line all in the grounds of Claremount Stadium.

The race was won by Peter Samba of Dunboyne AC in a time of 18 mins 30 secs. The female winner was Sinead Lambe of Donore Harriers. Age categories and teams were awarded on the night. Well done to Navan AC, Claremount Stadium and all involved for making this event a huge success. Thank you to all participants who registered and turned up on the night.
