Rock the Lakes & Lough 10 Mile / 5k

RACE REPORT

A great morning with some fantastic summer sunshine greeted over 400 runners for the 2nd year of Run the Lakes and Lough 10mile & 5k. This event was a fundraiser for the local Mandeville Unit in Craigavan Hospital. St. Peter's A.C, of Lurgan hosted the event in the stunning grounds of Oxford Island Discovery Centre. The host club managed the event with top class quality and expertise. Every aspect of the event was finely managed. There was a real sense of enjoyment had by all who participated. The weather certainly aided the relaxed and enjoyable feel. This year was also a sell out event.

The winner of the 5k was Sturat Sinnamon of Dromore A.C. and the female winner was Sarah Jane Reilly of Monaghan Juggernutts

The winner of the 10 Mile was Gareth King of Team Runwell. The female winner was Tara Malone of Maguiresbridge.

Well done to organisers, volunteers and participants for a great event.
