LSA of North Dublin hosted their first Peninsula 4 Mile in Donabate. What a great event we had that was extremely enjoyable for all participants. The event was managed with a very high level of organisation and preparation.
The club had full road closures on a great course. Participants got real value for money today. Race medals, t-shirts, posted packs and a very fine goodie bag was part of the entry. The entertainment on site was also one of the best we have seen all year. Commentary and music kept everyone entertained.
This was all made possible by the vast number of volunteers that the club had on duty. The race itself was won by Dylan O'Brien of Raheny Shamrock AC.
Local clubs supported the event in large numbers. Raheny Shamrock AC, Lusk AC, Balbriggan, Clonliffe Harriers, Lusk AC and many more came out to race. A special shout out to newly formed club Inner City Running Club who brought some great colour and fun to the event. Their bright orange club gear and incredible support not just to their own members but all other participants was a joy to see.
The women's race was won by Sheila Bourke of Lusk AC. Lusk AC who are a neighbouring club also brought a large contingent and were very supportive of this new event.
Well done again to everyone involved for this event.
