Our third trail run in our Summer Trail Run series takes place in Derrycassin Woods, Wednesday 19 August. 

Well done to everyone that completed run two, last week.  

 

Start / Finish

Derrycassan Woods  trail is located about one mile from Mullinalaghta village along L1057 and 25 mins from Longford Town.

Start Time and Registration

The run will start at 7:30pm.  Registration will open from 6:30pm.  If you have entered all 4 runs, please use the number you received last week.

 

Parking

Parking will be in The Laurels, Mullinalaghta GAA which is beside the trail run start and finish line.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/4VyjFBXQfQFZnHVS6

 

Toilets

The GAA Club have kindly allowed us to use their toilets.

 

The Route

The 5K route surface is firm, compact gravel, the surface is good. The trail profile has some elevation changes with the trail meandering through the woods.

 

Water

Water will be available at the finish.

 

 

The Longford 5k Trail Series kicks off on Wednesday 5th August on the Royal Canal in Longford Town. 

August 12th Corlea Bog

August 19th Derrycassin Woods

August 26th Newcastle Woods

 

Participants who complete all 4 chipped trail runs in the series receive a trails series Medal and T-shirt,  cost for all 4 run to be €45.

Participation in individual chipped runs cost €15.

This is great way to keep fit and active over the month of August.
