Longford Summer 5k Trail Run Series 2026 – Run Four in Newcastle Woods

Welcome

Our fourth and final trail run in our Summer Trail Run series takes place in Newcastle Woods, Wednesday 26 August. 

Well done to everyone that completed run three last week.  

 Start / Finish

Newcastle Woods trail is located about 4 km from Ballymahon Town and 350 meters from Center Parcs entrance. 

The start and finish line are 200 meter walk up a forest road from the main Newcastle Road.

Start Time and Registration

The run will start at 7:30pm.  Registration will open from 6:30pm.  If you have entered all 4 runs, please use the same  number. 

Parking

There are 2 options for Parking:

Newcastle House Hotel (Toilets available here) 400m walk

Allow some time to walk from the carpark.

Available in Newcastle House – 400 meters from the start finish line

The Route

The route is over gentle short hills and flat ground on compact forest gravel.   The route starts 200 meters up the forest road. We will start to the right and head anti clockwise around the Centre Parcs loop.    See map below. 5km route marked in red.
