Kilmeena GAA Club launches its inaugural Virtual 5km ‘Walk/Run/Family Run’ fundraiser - a virtual 5km to be run on the weekend of 2nd-5th July 2021, kindly sponsored by MidWest Furniture.
Participants are free to choose their own route, at their own time, over the weekend of 2nd-5th July 2021. The event can be run or walked by individuals or families.
Entry is €10 for individuals and €25 for families with the option to buy a commemorative medal and t-shirt. (merchandise will be sent out after the event)
A total of €200 in prize money is available to be won with €50 awarded to the fastest female and male entrants (proof of time required to be uploaded on MyRunResults).
There will also be four prizes of €25 for photos taken by participants of the event, and participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media with the hashtag #HitTheHillKilmeena and tag us @Kilmeena_GAA.
Kilmeena GAA Club would like to sincerely thank Midwest Furniture, who have been incredibly supportive of our club over the years, for sponsoring the event.
It is hoped that this will be the first of many Kilmeena ‘Hit the Hill’ events, and that in future years the event will be held in person on a set route around Kilmeena.
