Karen Fenton Memorial Run MRR
RACE REPORT

The Karen Fenton Memorial 5k Fun Run & Walk was a huge success and enjoyed by all participants. The event was organised and hosted by the Fenton Family, in association with St Finbarr's AC, in memory of Karen Fenton, who passed away from Ovarian Cancer, on the 30th of April 2017, aged 43. Runners, joggers and walkers came to support the the Fenton the karen fenton ovarian canncer fund.
Over 900 took part in today's event. There was a fabulous friendly atmosphere which welcomed all who attended. Many children took part which added to the occasion of fun and celebration.
The race itself had some quality club runners from all over Cork with strong support from St Finbarrs AC who played a major role with the organisers to deliver a great event.

The winner of the race was Alan O'Shea from Bantry AC. The female winner was Rosaleen Mackeown from Leevale AC.
Age category prizes were also awarded to athletes for both male and female. Team prizes were battled for among clubs with 4 to score, again for both male and female teams. The host Club St Finbarrs had a great day on the results sheets taking many honors.
Results are ORDERED on gross times.
