Event Report
Another great evening an Alsaa for the Paced miles. This event is becoming more popular with online registrations closing before the event due to capacity of the the Track. Runners come to increase their overall pace for future targeted long distance events such as the Great Spar Ireland Run and the upcoming Irish Runner 5 mile in June.
The objective is to run a mile at pace with the aid of an Irish Runner pacer and others of similar ability. Over the 4 nights Runners hope to use the classic 1 mile training distance to see their run pace increase. Runners take to the track and run just over 4 laps along with others of similar ability. It provides great comradery and friendships among like minded runners all looking to improve. The pace starts of from running 10 to 12 mins per mile, right down to those running a 5 min Mile. Over the months, through progression and availing of top tips from coaches and experienced Athletes the participants can see vast improvements in their running pace.
