The 'Glendalough Lap of the Gap' marathon features one of Ireland's toughest and most scenic marathon courses. Starting in the beautiful surroundings of Glendalough, you will journey upwards past the Glenmacnas Waterfall to the Sally Gap highland pass before starting your return journey via the shores of Lough Tay (the 'Guiness Lake').

Getting There
The route features a mixture of quiet rural scenery and dramatic open mountain scape and lakes while being a unique physical challenge with many climbs spread out through the course.

The 'Glen to Glen Half' is the planned half-marathon event to accompany the Lap of the Gap Marathon.
The 'Glen to Glen' half-marathon is a challenging course taking runners from Glendalough to the top of the Glenmacnass Waterfall before turning back for a fast and furious net downhill second half.
