DLR Bay 10k 2019

RACE REPORT

The DLR Bay 10k and family Fun Run attracted another big crowd in Dunlaoghaire over 1,500 participants. This is a fabulous event that starts and finishes along the stunning promenade with fantastic views of both the sea front and Dunlaoghaire itself. The event is now well and truly established with participants returning year on year. This is a must do event on the August bank holiday Monday.

The Level of organisation and professionalism only adds to the runners experience. It has also turned into a great family day out that can be enjoyed by all. There is also the big race feel with a very competitive edge among club runners. The top end of the field consisted of some fine athletes for both the men's and women's categories.

The race was won by Colin Maher of Ballyfin A.C. and the ladies winner was Ailish Malone of Clonliffe Harriers.

Team prizes were awarded to mixed teams. Each team must have had at least on female in order to score and be eligible to claim the team prize.
