DLR Bay 10k

RACE REPORT

The Dlr 10k in Dunlaoighaire provided runners with a fantastic experience today in south Dublin. Over 1,800 took part in the 10k and Family 1.5k Fun Run. The weather conditions were again superb for running. This event was organised with the highest quality possible to give runners a big day out. You could feel the big race atmosphere at the start and finish line areas along the scenic promenade of Dunlaoighaire. The event attracted some high quality runners. This provided the spectators with lots of excitement as they pushed hard competing all the way to the finish. Spectators were aided with giant Screens to view the runners approching the finish line. The Irish Cancer Society was one of today's Charity partners.

The main 10k race was sent off at 10.30 and followed by the Family Fun Run which provide great fun and entertainment at the Finish as we waited for the big event finishers.

The 10k race was won by John Coghlan of MSB AC followed by Freddy Stukk of Raheny Shamrock AC.

The ladies winner was Michelle Cox of Newbridge AC followed by Aoife O' Leary of Sportsworld RC.
