DBRC Chaela Gonda 5 Miler
RACE REPORT
Dublin Bay Running Club hosted their annual Chaela Gonda 5 mile on Stunning Howth Summit. This is an extremely friendly and very well supported local event. The Course which is not easy does throw up some incredible scenery along the Summit of Howth Head. With a fast down hill start runners soon hit the challenge of navigating narrow trails and and a steep hill climb. It certainly offers a different challenge to a normal road race. The Summit inn Pub was the events race HQ with much friendly banter and fun before and after the event. Local running clubs such as Raheny Shamrock A.C. Balbriggan Road Runners, Dublin Bay RC and others all enjoyed a great morning and friendly atmosphere.
This years winner was Ian Conroy of Raheny Shamrock A.C. and the ladies winner was Avril Challoner.
