RACE REPORT

 

 

 

 

Cork City Marathon was a huge success today with over 8,500 runners taking part in today's event. Runners could not have asked for better weather conditions. As ever the Atmosphere in Patrick Street was electric with thousands lining the street to support participants. This was the day that all the hard training paid off for runners. This years winner was Chris Mocko from San Francisco. The ladies winner was Jill Hodgins.

 

 

 

The Half  Marathon was one won by Peter Samba of Duboyne AC closely followed by Sergui Ciobanu in what was an extremely tight finish. The ladies winner of the Half Marathon was Claire McCarthy.
