You can Sign up now!

As part of this Virtual Challenge Cliffoney Celtic will donate €1,000 of the proceeds towards the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

We are delighted to present the Club’s second Virtual Challenge; the ‘Cliffoney to Carlingford Challenge’, where you will virtually walk, jog, run or cycle from Cliffoney to Carlingford on the scenic Cooley Peninsula.

In aid of Cliffoney Celtic’s Development Project which includes the development of new dressing rooms and a new training pitch.  We are excited about the future the new facilities will give the Club and the local area.  Since our last virtual challenge together; Sligo Co Council granted planning permission in 2021 for the dressing rooms and the training pitch and the Club was recently allocated a Grant of €50,000 under the Sports Capital Programme towards building the dressing rooms.  These are significant steps in helping the Club develop its facilities but we need your continued support to get us across the finishing line.

The Cliffoney to Carlingford Challenge will navigate 190km over 49 days (or less).  The first ‘adventurers’ will kick off the event on the 17th April 2022 and will remain open to new starters up until 30th April 2022.

You can submit your distances daily and track your progress via the MyRunResults website (which is an online event management platform) and for those that are more competitive you can keep an eye on the leader board too.

Feel free to post pictures along the way to Instagram, Twitter & Facebook and let us know how you are getting on.  You will receive a certificate when you finish.
