Bweeng Trail Blazers 5k/ 10k

RACE REPORT

On another glorious day, the village of Bweeng hosted their now annual 5k /10k road race organised by Bweeng Trail Blazers. This popular event which was sold out had nearly 700 people register to take on the roads of this rural community. At 12:00 after the sound of the piper had played the masses took to the streets. This is a fast 5k course entertained the crowds again this year with Paul Moloney of Mallow AC taking the race title in 15:14. The female 5k winner was Anna Reddan in 16:43.

The 10k winner was John Meade of St. Finbar's Followed closely by Alfie Davies of Leevale AC. The clubs reversed for the female winners with Carol Finn of Leevale AC taking first position and Sorcha Kearney of St. Finbar's AC coming in second.
