RACE REPORT

 

 

The Bweeng Trail Blazers 5k and 10k attracted over 640 runners to this years event. Numbers were up considerably on last year indicating the popularity of the event. The weather was fantastic with summer sunshine. Runners, walkers and joggers from the local area and beyond took part today.

 

The 5k was a nail biting close race with 4 runners in contention. Rory O'Conoor finally made it home in first place. The

10k was also another close race until 

Eric Curran took top spot. The weather did make it more difficult for runners as they it round both the 5k and 10k route. 

 

Many club singlets from all over Cork and a far were on display.
