RACE REPORT

 

 

Brandon Bay, Co. Kerry, 1 of the Irelands many beauty spots is host to Irelands ONLY full beach race from start to finish. This is the 5th running of this event and is growing in numbers every year, with a record entry of over 500 participants registered for this year. This event is definitely 1 to mark in your calendar for  2019.

To run a half marathon is challenging on a regular day but can you imagine running it completely on sand with the back drop of Mount Brandon, warm sea breeze in your hair, the sea by your side, the view of the bay and complete freedom, that sounds like heaven to me.

 

If that view doesn't make any runner want to get out, let their hair down and run free!!!!

 

2016 saw both the  male 10km and Half Marathon records broken, with almost perfect weather conditions, light sea breeze, let's see what this year brings....
