The Meath Spring Half Marathon hosted by Bohermeen A.C. was another sell out Meath race at over 1,600 participants. This Half Marathon has become one of Ireland's most renowned running events attracting athletes from all over the country. Athletics clubs came in large numbers indication the high regard this event holds within running circles. The event is also extremely popular with local runners. It's a must do event on the race calendar.

The race itself was packed with quality runners in both the Mens and Women's races. The mens race was a 2 horse race from the start with Kevin Dooney of Raheny Shamrock A.C. and Yared Derese of Carrick Aces.

They went toe to toe for much of the race. In the end it was Yared Derese who was the victor of the battle.

The Women's race was won by Barbara Cleary of Donore Harriers.

Age category and team results were awarded from age 40 upwards.

Team results were awarded for the open race ( 4 to score Men and Women), along with another team award for the Rennicks Cup (Men 6 to score) and the Fr. Delaney Cup for (women 3 to score).

Trim A.C had a good day all over in age categories and team scoring. Brothers Pearse A.C. were the winners of the Women's team results.

This was also part of the Meath Championships. Sean Murphy of Trim A.C. won the Meath Men's race and Sabrina Keogh of Dunboyne A.C won the Women's Meath Race. Meath club results can be be viwed on the link button below. Teams are based on 4 to score. Trim A.C. won the Women's team and Trim A.C. also won the Men's team.

These are provisional results until verified by Meath Athletics.
