RACE REPORT

 

 

The Balbriggan Summer fest 5k hosted by Balbriggan Roadrunners was another fabulous event. This was the second year running of the event. Over 250 runners signed up for this fun filled 5k event. Balbriggan Roadrunners who attend many local events in huge numbers certainly learned how to put on  a great event together. Runners felt a real sense of fun and enjoyed the incredible food that was on offer after the event. Thers was however the more serious side to the event. Many top runners came to take top prize for both the Male and Female category. There was also some prizes at stake for the under 16s. Many families had signed up for the event which was great to see families enjoying a healthy lifestyle. 

 

 

The Winner of the event was  Ian McManus in 16:20

 

 

 

 

The Female Winner of the event was Barbara Murray in 19:45

NEW EVENTS FOR THE SUMMER FROM AWARD WINNING BORN 2 RUN EVENTS

 This is 4 race series which will run for the next 4 Thursdays in June
Entry fee is €25 and for this runners will get a beautiful medal as well as post race refreshments. Each of the races in the series has a bespoke medal with a design specific to that particular race route. Runners can take part in as few or as many of the races as they wish but runners entering all 4 races in the series will get a discounted entry fee (€20/race) as well as a BORN2RUN Buff.
