Alanna Russell Memorial Run 2019
RACE REPORT
The second year of the Alanna Russell 5K took place this morning in sunny Navan. Children's races started off the mornings events bringing with them crowds of supporters. Claremount stadium provided for an ideal race HQ, with music, refreshments and a place to gather for participants.
Over 550 registered for the adults race with a further 100 children taking part to remember Alanna. Again this year Alanna running tops took pride of place on the finish gantry reminding everyone of some of the events she took part in
This years winner was Peter Somba of Dunboyne A.C. in a time of 15:24. The Ladies winner was Becky Woods in a time of 17:58.
