RACE REPORT

The Star of the Sea AC 5k was held in superb summer sunshine in Stamullen Co. Meath. The event attracted over 450 runners and was extremely well supported by locals and surrounding Clubs from Meath and Dublin. The evenings event started off with kids races. Over 150 children took part providing some great entertainment for spectators. The main event has become a popular race in the Meath Road Race Calendar. Many clubs were on show to win team prizes with individuals looking for personal glory in age categories. The course is challenging and provided some quality racing. All the evenings results and winners are listed in our results section. The winner of the race was Darragh Greene. This was a close race until the last couple of km. The race was close all the way through the entire field of runners with some fast times recorded.

ONLINE ENTRY FOR RUN DUBLIN RUN MALAHIDE CLOSES TONIGHT AT 11PM.

BORN2RUN the award winning race organisers would like to remind runners that online entry for Thursday night’s RUN DUBLIN RUN Malahide race closes tonight at 11pm. The race which includes a 10K and a 5k will take place at 7.30 pm on Thursday night and is the first race in a 4 race series which will run for the next 4 Thursdays.
Entry fee is €25 and for this runners will get a beautiful medal as well as post race refreshments. Each of the races in the series has a bespoke medal with a design specific to that particular race route. Runners can take part in as few or as many of the races as they wish but runners entering all 4 races in the series will get a discounted entry fee (€20/race) as well as a BORN2RUN Buff.
