Paul Mitchell romped home in 34:25 to take almost a minute from the runner up Thomas Lupton on a perfect day for running as a heavy shower broke through just in time for the start. Pauline Curley took the Women's race in 37:58 as over 500 took part in another successful event hosted at Lough Boora. Eddie Newman pulled out with a tight hamstring in advance of the National 10K next week and a potential podium finish allowing Bredan Donagher to come 3rd in 35:32 and Chris Donegan 1st M50 in 36:52 with Francis Connolly's 37:42 giving him 1st M40.
