RACE REPORT

The 2nd annual Clonee 10k  attracted 363 runners, which was a large increase on last year. The route is a flat fast course and this brought out some quality runners to start line. However, the weather had turned blustery and cooler for this evenings race.  This made it slightly more difficult for runners to contend with. Dunboyne AC hosted the event as a fundraiser to develop club facilities and growing demands on the club, as it has increased in size over recent years. 

Prizes were awarded to age categories and teams. Yet again, this was another Meath race with some fine results and a high club participation rate battling for honours. Refreshments took place in the local Pub and Restaurant "The Grasshoppers". Fine food was produced with some Pizza making an appearance. This was all to re boost the Runners energy levels!!!

This year's winner was Peter Samba of the host club Dunboyne AC. The Ladies Winner was Catherina Mullen training with Dunboyne and from Shercock with local favourite Emila Dan in Second place. The team prizes were awarded to Dunboyne who finished top of the pile. They took both the Men's and Ladies teams.
