On Saturday 16th of July 2016 this unique event will once again be Ireland's (and possibly the world's!!) ONLY half marathon & 10k event entirely based on a beach! The event is being run on the beach around the beautiful Brandon Bay and is being organised in conjunction with the Castlegregory Summer festival which takes place in July (exact dates TBC). Entry info:
This event can be run, jogged or walked & starts and finishes at Fahamore in the Maharees for both the half marathon and the 10k. Please note, the start time of this event is based on tide times for obvious reasons.
Entry fee: Half Marathon : €35 / 10k run: €25 (incl timing chip, tech tee and bespoke event medal!!)
Timing:
As with the last 2 years we will be providing each participant with a race number & timing chip, so whether you run, walk or jog your exact time will be on hand afterwards.
Health & Safety:
There will be an ambulance service on site all during the event and we will be liaising with the safety officer to create a safe and well organised event. Please note the course is entirely on the beach so runners will possibly get wet as there are some small streams crossing the beach!
