INTRO - MICK CLOHISEY

Thanks Ronan for inviting me to contribute the odd bit of music( which might not be everyone’s cup of tea of course😅) from some of my favourite musicians to the page for something a bit different from the general running theme!

MYRUN COMMUNITY SPOTIFY PLAYLIST

"LONG MAY YOU RUN"

In saying that the song below can certainly resonate to us runners as the song title reveals. Neil Young actually wrote it as a tribute to the first car he bought😅 but like any good song it can transpire from that and have a personal meaning to the listener. It’s a fairly chilled out number but I suppose it’s Sunday afternoon ( I think 🤔) so fits the bill . For the many miles ahead down the road , enjoy , Claw .

"ONE MORE CUP OF COFFEE"

Sunday evening comes around again. Here’s one of my favourite’s from Bobby Dylan . While I’m sure some of us runners are missing trips to our local coffee haunts here is Bob singing about coffee among other things in the haunting “One More Cup of Coffee” from the Rolling Thunder Revue tour of the mid 70s. Thankfully the good oul’ nespresso machine is keeping me going for now ☕️

"SAMHRADH, SAMHRADH"

Another bit of ceol for Easter Sunday . The Gloaming’s version of the traditional tune “Samhradh Samhradh “ . Summer , Summer.. a nice reminder of the days ahead which we got a nice taste of I’m sure for those out running yesterday ☀️ Slainte Mhaith

VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH MICK

Mick Clohisey National Dublin Marathon Champ 2018 and Rio Olypmian talks to MyRunResults about his training, and how this is a good time for the body to heal after long periods of training and racing.

He also tells us how he is helping to motvivate his running group over these unsual times.
Mick gives us an insight on how he manages to tune out from running through his love for music and family life.

We hope this may help the "MyRun Community" find alternative ways to train and motivate each other and find ways to chill out...

Thank you Mick from MyRunResults.com
