Navan A.C. are Virtually hosting 5k and family 2k to help raise funds to complete the new track at Claremont Stadium.

Entry is 10euro for over 16 and 5euro under 16 with a family option for 2 x adults plus 2 x under 16's for 20euro.

There is an option to donate further during registration and purchase bespoke t-shirt / medal including postal.

Claremont Stadium Olympic size athletics track for the past twenty years has been the stage of many County, Regional and School Athletic Championships. It provides the community of Navan and the surrounding areas with an unique and ideal training venue in a safe and healthy environment.

Claremont Stadium Club has been awarded nearly €180,000 from the Sport Capital Programme for the relaying of the athletic track. The total cost of the project will be €265,000 and while we have raised some matching funding, with the help of Navan AC, planned fundraising events for 2020 have been impacted by COVID-19.

However we won't let the Corona Virus get in our way of giving the community a brand spanking shiny new track facility for walking, running, jumping and having fun.

The track is supported by and home of Navan Athletic Club whose many athletes of age 5 years and upwards enjoy the buzz of being on an athletic track. Over the years the track has supported a diverse number of individuals and groups from Special Olympics, Paralympics, Primary and Secondary Schools and Meath Local Sports Programmes in their training.

In 2019 nearly 200 different groups used Claremont Stadium for Sports, Education or Social activities and the new athletic track will improve and support their ongoing growth and success.

To make this project a reality we are asking for your help by sponsoring and giving what you can and sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family.

Our track is 8 lanes @ 400meters and we are asking people to sponsor a metre of new track for €10.

We will be extremely grateful if you are in a position to donate over and above €10 to sponsor your meter of track. We have 3200 meters available for sponsorship. Every sponsor will be acknowledged and thanked regardless of their donation.

Any help you can give will be appreciated and it will help the Club be in a stronger position when we are on the road to recovery from the closure of Claremont Stadium.
