During these strange and unprecedented times most of the running community have been left in limbo without being able to interact both physically & socially. We know running can be a huge part of people's lives, it is well known to maintain & enhance our mental health. To keep us all on the right track we would like to offer & welcome people an opportunity to be part of virtual running community Hopefully this will be the next best thing to replacing what we have momentarily lost.

Athletics Ireland have launched a national campaign that aims to keep people active over the coming weeks and months. Athletics Ireland will be offering up free tips and advice to help you stay active while adhering to the HSE guidelines with respect to COVID-19. You can find running tips at https://www.athleticsireland.ie/runzone/recreational-running-tips.

Our aim is to keep active, keep healthy, keep motivated and keep smiling.

To make this group as interactive and enjoyable as possible we invite you to post details of your runs - photos, images, videos etc.

We will host monthly results from 1mile, 2k, 5k, 5 mile, 10k,10 mile, 1/2 marathon, 3/4 marathon, marathon & ultra on myrunresults.com for free if you would like.

With so many people currently out of work this is a free & fun way to keep active & involved. For those that love a t-shirt & medal there will also be an option to purchase and have posted.

Hopefully this will help you all during these unusual times.
