Down syndrome Athletics

Come & Try day - Glenmore AC

We are delighted to host the first ever Athletics Come & Try day for athletes with Down syndrome.

In the shadow of the Cooley mountains, home of Glenmore AC, the Bush track has been the venue for numerous disability events in the past.

The Come & Try day will host athletes with Down syndrome, young and old, from all over Ireland to come and show their ability.

This is also an ideal event for everybody getting back into physical activity, as the emphasis is on a fun day out in a friendly environment.

Babies in strollers, through to the most accomplished athletes, are invited to participate in age-appropriate athletic activities.

Come and try runs, throws and jumps with your peers!
